The Rural Development Support Agency (RDSA) operates in highly vulnerable contexts characterized by volatility and security challenges, aiming to reach underserved communities affected by climatic shocks and conflicts. RDSA engages in emergency interventions that contribute to the prevention of livelihood deterioration, the enhancement of livelihood support systems, and the improvement of living standards for minority groups, pastoralists, agro-pastoralists, and other vulnerable populations.

RDSA acquired Knowledge and experience on different livelihood zones, such as Income Generating Activities – IGA, MPCA, agro-ecological conditions and farming systems; particularly active in: Middle & Lower Shabele Bay, Hiraan, Middle and Lower Juba Regions. Strong experience has been acquired in work with village Response committees, negotiating with different groups and working in a conflict-prone environment. The integration between Food security as agriculture, water and sanitation has increased the potential impact of projects, developing a broader view of livelihood dynamics of the project areas. A great number of reports and technical documents produced by RDSA constitute the basis for any new proposed intervention.
